Fraternal Programs
Fraternalism is Our Difference!
Catholic Holy Family Society is deeply rooted in the word “fraternal” which means brotherhood and friendship. The Society is a fraternal benefit organization providing life insurance to Catholics and their families. Fraternal benefit societies operate with a blend of business and volunteerism. More than 10 million men, women and children belong to these not-for-profit fraternals which offer their members a chance to participate in fraternal programs and also provide for the protection needs of their members by offering life insurance.

Teacher Legacy Award
This program was established to recognize outstanding kindergarten through eighth grade Catholic educators. The Society first contacts the Superintendent of a Catholic diocese located in a state in which it operates. The Superintendent asks all principals in the diocese to recognize one teacher from their school to be nominated for this award. The home office then randomly chooses one teacher from these nominations to receive the award and represent all those in the diocese. The recipient is presented with an engraved school bell, a certificate, a gift card, and a check to be used for his/her classroom.
