This actress was born Ruby Catherine Stevens in Brooklyn, NY, on July 16, 1907. She was one of the actresses considered for the role of Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind", though she wan't given a screen test. In 1944 she was the highest paid woman in the United States. Her first sound film was "The Locked Door", 1928.

CONTEST RULES
This contest is open to all members of Catholic Holy Family Society who are in good standing. Officers and employees of said organization are not eligible. In the interest of fairness to all contestants, your answer should have the correct spelling. In the event of more than three correct answers, the winner shall be determined by a random drawing from all of the correct entries. Should no correct answer be received all of the prize money shall be added to the following contest. Catholic Holy Family Society shall be the sole judge of each contest and its decision shall be final.
