2nd Grade Teacher Receives 2008 Teacher Legacy Award
 Catholic Holy Family Society is pleased to announce that Pat Schott has received the 2008 Teacher Legacy Award. In a suprise visit to her classroom at Queen of Peace Grade School in Belleville, Illinois, CHFS Fraternal Director, Mary Barbara Kurtz presented Pat with an engraved school bell, $100 gift certificate and $50 for a class party. Queen of Peace Principal, Sharon Needham, who nominated Pat for the award, had the following to say about her. “Pat is a valuable member of our staff who has devoted 25 years to Catholic Education (and is retiring at the end of the year). She works tirelessly to help all of her students learn. Her gentle manner, but high expectations have guided her students to become responsible members of our school community. At the same time, she has worked to mold their character and prepare them for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Her students learn from her example of caring and dedication”.
