Grade School Teacher Receives 2008 Teacher Legacy Award Principal Lisa Buchheit, CHFS Fraternal Director Mary Barbara Kurtz, Patricia Roche and Superintendent Tom Posnaski Catholic Holy Family Society is pleased to announce that Patricia Roche has received a 2008 Teacher Legacy Award for her dedication to Catholic education for the past 25 years. In a surprise visit to her school at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School in Waterloo, IL, CHFS Fraternal Director, Mary Barbara Kurtz presented Patricia with an engraved school bell, $100.00 gift certificate and $50.00 to spend on her classroom. St. Peter and Paul Principal, Lisa Buchheit, who nominated Patricia for the award said, "Patricia combines a wonderful sense of humor with her genuine kindness, resulting in students working hard to succeed. Patricia is also a wonderful resource for the other classroom teachers to use with their struggling learners. Principal Kimberly Schlagel, Sr. Grace and Leanne Mudron, Rollie's wife, joined CHFS President, Jim Rial, Immediate Past President, Robert Kochevar, Supreme Board Secretary/Treasurer, Jean Konrad, and CHFS Spiritual Advisor, Fr. George Klepec, as they presented Rollie with an engraved school bell, a $100 gift certificate and $50 to spend on his class. St. Paul the Apostle Principal, Kimberly Schlagel, who nominated Rollie for the award said, "Rollie embodies the word "teacher". For 42 years he has been a teacher, role model and pilar of strength for the St. Paul the Apostle community.
