Recent Church Grant Recipient

St. Francis of Assisi Church, Teutopolis, IL, and St. Anastasia Church, Teaneck, NJ, are the winners of the Society’s Church Grant Program, chosen on Dec. 31, 2010.

The entry for St. Francis of Assisi Church was submitted by Society member Liz Kremer.  She is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church where Fr. Austin Albers serves as Pastor.

The parish will use the grant toward the Church’s teen Catholic Heart Work Camp Group.   Projects have included a mission trip to Memphis, TN, to serve the poor by completing restoration, landscaping, painting and cleaning projects.

The entry for St. Anastasia Church was submitted by Society member Lillian Luck.  She is a member of St. Anastasia Church where Fr. Dan O’Neill serves as Pastor.  The parish will use the grant toward the Bowery Program, which feeds the hungry on the streets once a week.

The date for our next drawing is Mar. 31, 2011.
