Fraternal Director Mary Barbara Kurtz presents the Fraternalist of the Year Award to Dale Gall

Dale Gall was named the 2009 Catholic Holy Family Society Fraternalist of the Year at the annual Fraternal Leaders Meeting, held at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, in Belleville, Illinois, on May 9th .  Fraternal Director Mary Barbara Kurtz presented Dale with the award and medallion.  He has been a member of Trenton Council #8 for over 47 years.  His council involvement has been measureless in terms of volunteer support, countless work hours and ongoing commitment to CHFS.  Dale has held every council officer position, including President and Vice president.  In 2005, Dale began attending our annual Habitat for Humanity with his daughter Dana and wife Judy.  This past year his son Chad joined him and their entire family worked on the 2008 build in Joliet, IL.  In 1993 when Dale’s career moved him from Illinois to Minnesota, it still did not prevent him from staying active in his council.  On his many short trips home to visit family, he would participate in council projects.  Dale is an essential part of his council and is involved in selling for the council fund-raisers, working Hearts and Hands projects, Matching Funds, council socials and he has served as a delegate for many conventions.  Not only is he active in CHFS, but Dale is an active member of his parish serving as an Usher on Sundays and a server at funeral masses.  He belongs to the Trenton Knights of Columbus, Mater Dei High School Fathers and Friends, St. Mary’s Holy Name and Trenton Emergency Management Services.  As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Dale has received the Family of the Year Award, Knight of the Year award and many other council awards over the years. Dale and his wife Judy have been married for 43 years.  They have 2 children, 1 granddaughter and 1 grandson on the way!  Congratulations Dale!
