Dana Bertelsman
Dana Bertelsman, of Trenton, Illinois, and a member of Trenton Council #8, was recently named a Fraternal MVP (Most Valuable Participant) for the week of February 18th by the National Fraternal Congress of America.  Dana was chosen based on her true spirit of fraternalism and volunteerism.  The Fraternal MVP program is part of the NFCA's new "Fraternalists-in-Action" program designed to remind our elected public officials how much fraternalists are doing all over the United States.  Dana was chosen to be a fraternal representitive and travel to Washington, D.C., on April 16th and 17th.  Dana will meet with members of Congress and tell them what her Council is doing to make her community a better place to live.

Spotlight on the Society’s Church Grant Program
* Now drawing two parishes four times a year to receive a $3,000 grant!

Is there a special project that needs funding at your church?  You can help!  Through this program, Society members have an opportunity to nominate their parish for a grant.  From the nominations received a winner is chosen at random.  Send us your entry today for your parish’s chance at a $3,000 grant.

We are now accepting new applications for this year’s drawings.  In 2008, the Society will double this program’s winners.  Two winners each will now be drawn on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31, 2008.  Please submit your entry by listing the name, address and phone number of your parish church, the name of your pastor, and a brief description of the church project that you would like to nominate for the grant.  Send it, along with your own name, address and phone number to: Catholic Holy Family Society, Church Grant Program, P.O. Box 2909, Joliet, IL 60434.
